In this dialogue session the speakers addressed the catastrophic effects of the eleven years of conflict in Syria, including the further deterioration of living and economic conditions despite the decline in the intensity of military operations and the relative stability of controlled areas by the dominant powers. The speakers discussed institutionalized violence, consolidated dependency, and wasted human potential in the absence of prospects for a just and sustainable political solution.
