{"id":4416,"date":"2016-05-24T22:37:50","date_gmt":"2016-05-24T22:37:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/know-war.org\/%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%85%d8%b4%d8%b1%d9%88%d8%b9\/"},"modified":"2022-08-09T12:54:51","modified_gmt":"2022-08-09T12:54:51","slug":"%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%85%d8%b4%d8%b1%d9%88%d8%b9","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/know-war.org\/ar\/%d8%a7%d9%84%d9%85%d8%b4%d8%b1%d9%88%d8%b9\/","title":{"rendered":"\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0634\u0631\u0648\u0639"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;4284&#8243; img_size=&#8221;large&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text single_style=&#8221;&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;fadeIn&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1660049693304{padding-right: 1.5rem !important;padding-left: 1.5rem !important;}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2><b>Knowledge Production in Times of Flight and War \u2013 Developing Common Grounds for Research in\/on Syria<\/b><b>KnowWar (Phase 1)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> aims at achieving a more adequate understanding of research in conflict and war zones, tackling three main problems:<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Existing field research approaches and methodologies are inadequate for conflict and war zones.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Transdisciplinary research has not yet been sufficiently established for conflict and war zones<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-The power nexus between war, flight, humanitarian programs, repatriation, and reconstruction has not yet been systematically worked out in research on the war in Syria and its repercussions in Lebanon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By carrying out dissemination, capacity development and research activities in Lebanon, we will reach the following outputs:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Clear understanding of transformative field research approaches and methodologies for conflict and war zones has been established, practically applied and evaluated.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-An international team of transdisciplinary knowledge producers has been established as the core group of the network TransKnow.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">-Critical knowledge on the power nexus of war, flight, humanitarian programs, repatriation, and reconstruction from gender and class sensitive perspectives has been worked out, disseminated and widely discussed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These outputs will be utilised to further develop the network TransKnow. By doing that, target groups (social initiatives, activists, CSOs, CBOs, NGOs, universities, researchers, students) will capitalise on the research perspectives, approaches, and methods developed by the project. These actors can thus readapt their own expertise and policies respectively, and strengthen or reorient their (academic) activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KnowWar (Phase 1) is funded by the Austrian Development Agency until May 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The research project is a cooperation between the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ie.univie.ac.at\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Department of Development Studies (DDS), University of Vienna, <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.birzeit.edu\/cds\/new-cds\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Birzeit University (BZU)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the NGO <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mousawat101\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mousawat<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aau.at\/erziehungswissenschaft-und-bildungsforschung\/arbeitsbereiche\/friedensforschung-und-friedensbildung\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Center for Peace Research and Peace Education (ZFF), Alps-Adriatic University Klagenfurt<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scpr-syria.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Syrian Center for Policy Research<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=&#8221;4202&#8243;
